ACM@MSU End of Semester Dinner: All Students Welcome!

ACM@MSU is hosting our traditional End of Semester Dinner for this spring at Pizza House in East Lansing. ACM members, CSE students and faculty all welcome! Cost covers food and non-alcoholic drinks.

Where: Pizza House in Eyde Plaza

When: Thursday, April 23, 7:00pm

Cost: 3$ for paid ACM@MSU members, 5$ all others

Want to gain leadership experience? Want to run an organization?
Come run for office for ACM student chapter at MSU.

Even if you aren't interested in running please come to choose your
next year's officers, they will be in charge for making an
organization you want to be apart of.

Positions available:
President - runs meetings and manages the officers
Vice President - keeps track of membership and is back up for President
Treasurer - keeps track of the organizations money and handles reimbursements
Secretary - takes notes of officer meetings

Using Eclipse IDE and Remote System Explorer plug-in to do your homework from any computer! Not using GEdit or Vim, using a real graphical IDE! Arguably the best IDE but we'll leave that debate for the meeting :). Get it up and running and working in 10 minutes. Also intro to SVN and popular SVN clients and what to do with them. Also, more on elections...we need you to get involved!

Still looking for a something to do over the Summer? Looking to improve your experience and resume? Would you like to be able to place the name "Google" on your resume? Then you should consider applying and participating in Google Summer of Code.

Google Summer of Code is a program that offers stipends for student developers to write code for various open source projects. Google will only be accepting applications from 3/23 - 4/3 (less than a week away and less than two weeks long) so it's time to get ready to apply!
